    Do I need to speak to a doctor before having an IV Drip?

    We dont require a doctors authorisation to provide the drip however if you feel that you would like to speak to a doctor we can organise our in house GP have a consultation with you before we administer the drip.   

    Who carries out the IV drip?

    Our nurses and phlebotomists carry out the cannulation and provide the drips. Upon request we can have our doctor administer the drip if needed. 

    What happens if you are afraid of needles?

    Our clinic is designed to make our customers feel comfortable and relaxed. Our nurses and phlebotomists have been carrying out drips for years and are familiar with how daunting it might be to have a cannula inserted. There is no pressure to have it done quickly, we are happy to take as long as needed for you to feel comfortable with the entire process.  We can also use topical anaesthetic numbing cream where the cannula will be inserted.   

    Are the practitioners all first aid trained?

    Yes, all of the administering staff are trained as a minimum in first aid and BLS (Basic Life Support).

    How should i prepare for my IV Drip session?

Eat a light meal, have a light meal before your session to stabilise your blood sugar levels.  Wear comfortable clothing, something that can be rolled up to expose your arms comfortably.
